Oh man, I tell you there has been some pretty dramatic changes recently. A couple weeks ago, I decided to grab the reigns of my life and move. I quit my 9-5 desk job, started serving & bartending, and purchased a couple hundred dollars worth of books by some of the best. I am going to make this summer the most productive and fulfilling yet.
After a year of sitting still behind a desk, I am taking crafting a life more serious than ever. I went after a more light-hearted employment opportunity that will allow me social interaction, industry knowledge, and flexible scheduling. I can now spend my days hiking, reading, and planning while maintaining a steady income. My energy is back! I am 'me' again and I can't wait to see how I grow these next few months. In fact, I am already losing track of days and time- now isn't that a beautiful thing?
A few things I will be intensely learning and being attentive to: my individual yoga practice, hiking the Superior Hiking Trail, writing, eating and living organically/sustainably, finding mentors, obtaining the best information available, business planning, and hanging out with my old pal, Sunshine.
Keep simple things simple.
There is a little known fact that we only have three 'bursts' of glycogen in our brain per day. In other words, three moments with enough energy and capability to solve hard problems. What are you spending that on? Deciding what to wear? Wondering if a girl will call you? To me, seeing my energy as one of my greatest assets has been a great shift in my thinking. I want to keep simple things simple for the *simple* sake of being able to plan, learn, and explore as productively as possible.
I am feeling energized by the idea of walking to work, having daytime hours to dedicate to my passions, interactions with new people, and a little change just to spice this life up.
